How to import large blog

மொக்கையை தொழில்நுட்பரீதியிலே எப்படி கையாள முடியுமுன்னு யோசிச்சப்ப வந்தாத்தான் விபரீத விளைவு தான், கீழே இங்கிலிபிசு தாறு மாறா தடுமாறி இருக்கு, அதனாலே கடைப்பக்கம் வாரவங்க மன்னிக்கவும், வழக்கமான மொக்கைகள் மீண்டும் தொடரும்.

Whoever is  tryed to import large blog would have faced problems in importing their blog, because,as of now google does not importing large blog, but if we split the blog posts and import them separately,we can upload large blog posts.Using GData API and Microsoft.NET a windows application is created to have smooth run on import and export.

Steps to install:

Download and Install BlogsplitterSetup.zip from the below link, if you are .Net developer, source code Blogsplitter.zip.

The main features of the utility.

1. Exporting blogs posts

2. Splitting the exported ATOM xml files into chunks, i.e each posts and corresponding comments will have xml.

3. All the xml posts will be imported into another blog.

Exporting Blogs:

• Start--->Program files-->Shortcut to Primary output from Blogsplitter (Active)

• Select “Export Blogger blog” and “go”

•  The user name and password fields are one which we used to login to blogger.
•  If you don’t know you blog id, just leave the blog id field empty

Blogger Splitter:

•  In the main screen Select “Split blogger Export XML”

• If we leave the max post size field empty 1000 kb is default

• Click on "Exit" button

Blogger Splitter: 

•  In the main screen select “import blog”
•  Blogname, the name of the blog to be imported
•  User name and password to login to google accounts
•  Blogid can be left blank, if you don’t know.
•  Select folder is the folder where we have selected “destination folder” in blog splitter.

• Please wait till you see completed message.

• Login to blogger.com, you should be able to see all the imported posts, if you don't see them, please let me know with the details.

Capacity and limitations:

• It can process the blog size up to 2 GB.
• Google has limitation of importing blog size has more than MB, it limits till 1 MB.

Important note:

This utility will not be valid after Google resolves issues with importing large blog.
